DRY SWIMMING AT 21st CENTURY MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART, KANAZAWA

WHY? There are so many interesting visual experience here :)

The word museum may sound boring, but this museum cannot be missed when visiting Kanazawa, Japan. WHY? There are so many interesting visual experiences here :)

From the outside, the museum building looks very modern which is in a circular form with the entire walls made of glass. Although the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, featuring the contemporary works yet numerous works here are for everyone to enjoy since each work has a high visual power. One of the artworks that is known worldwide is the work of Leandro ERLICH "The Swimming Pool" which has even become part of the museum building.

The open area in the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, is always full with visitors who enjoy unique visual landscape, the swimming pool, but part of it can be entered by visitors through a special door, without us having to get wet.

There are two sides to see this Leandro ERLICH's work, from the outside we can see the pool from above, and from the pool we can look up to the visitors who are above through special glass.

Various contemporary works have become part of the museum building, we can move around while watching the works there. However, another interesting surprise of this museum is at the park outside the museum.

In the greenish grass around the museum building there is a lot of pipe-shaped tubes. Some of these pipes are connected so that we can just talk with others who are connected to the tube in front of us. Many visitors who try this tube with a shout in front of the tube wait for a response from someone who was near the connected tube. Besides beautifying the museum park, this work becomes interesting pleasant surprise and makes it a very interactive museum.

@marischkaprue - Can't swim in the museum but she's still happy :)
