Imagine soaking in crystal clear warm water surrounded by mangrove trees and a few wooden boats.
walking around Gamtala Village |
Festival Teluk Jailolo berlangsung. Mulai dari upacara mengganti bagian atas
atap Sasadu yaitu rumah adat, hingga Horum Sasadu dimana semua berkumpul di
rumah adat dan makan bersama.
Gamtala Village in Jailolo, West Halmahera usually crowded in May during the Jailolo Bay Festival. Few celebration took place, such as a ceremony to replace the top of Sasadu (traditional house) roof, until Horum Sasadu where all gathered in traditional homes and have a festive dinner together.

But not far from the frenetic celebrations, around 10 minutes walk from the Sasadu in Gamtala Village, you can see few wooden boats moored in an entry point of a river. This is a place to see mangrove forest in Jailolo.
But what caught my attention is actually not strolling around mangrove. The fact is where the boat is moored, is a place I don't wanna leave. I just soaked myself in and felt the great relaxation.
Warm and clear water, and those view! |
The entrance to this mangrove located close with the hot springs, making the water so warm with black sands covering the bottom of the river. This, plus the crystal clear water which seems like there aren't any water at all when you see from certain point of view, so relaxing.
With mba Cika & Mad, we don't prepare any swimsuit so whatever, we're going into the water! |
Feels like a mangrove warm tub :)
My advice, after you stroll around seeing mangrove with the boat and come back to this place, enjoy some moments soaking yourself in this warm water. Feels like a mangrove warm tub :)
