Where to Stay in Bandung: Charming Sheraton Hotel & Towers

Wilayah Dago atas di Bandung selalu jadi primadona lokasi pilihan. Udara yang sejuk dan jarak yang sangat dekat dengan jalanan utama Dago dimana berjajar pilihan factory outlet dan cafe-cafe serta restoran Bandung yang menyenangkan.

Dago Atas is always be the most recommended part of Bandung to enjoy the fresh air and close distance to various factory outlets, café, and restaurants alongside the main street of Dago.

Hanya berjarak 10-15 menit dari jalanan utama Dago, Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers sangat strategis untuk menikmati kesejukan kota kembang ini namun tidak jauh dari jalanan favorit saya di Bandung.

Since it only took 10 – 15 minutes from the main street of Dago, Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers was such a right choice to enjoy the coolness of the city but also close enough from my favorite street.

Ada satu hal lagi, hotel ini baru saja "bersolek" dan mengubah tampilannya menjadi lebih modern namun classy. Chandelliers putih dan turquoise di lobby utama serta nuansa putih mempercantik Sheraton Bandung.

The hotel just redecorated its look became more modern yet classy. Chandeliers in white and turquoise colored which hanged on white shade main lobby, made Sheraton Bandung more beautiful.

Cozy room

Kamar saya langsung menghadap area taman dengan latar perbukitan di area Dago atas. Terasa nyaman seperti di rumah saat pintu teras dibuka dan kami membiarkan udara sejuk Bandung menggantikan penyejuk udara di ruangan.

My room had a garden view with the hills at Dago Atas as its background. Feeling so homey as the terrace opened and we let the fresh air fill the room instead of turning on the air conditioner.

Selain kamar yang homy, area favorit saya lainnya di hotel ini adalah area pool dengan hut kecil berbentuk bawang untuk sekadar tidur-tiduran menikmati suasana. Udara bandung memang cukup dingin tapi tidak menghentikan kami untuk dipping dan mengambil beberapa foto underwater :)

Pool area was another favorite spot in my list besides the cozy room. An onion-shaped hut was available for just dozing enjoy the atmosphere. The cold weather can’t hold us for dipping and taking some underwater photos

Hal lain yang perlu dicoba di Sheraton Bandung adalah Sunday brunch di Feast Restaurant dengan varian masakan yang sangat beragam dan bahkan ada area khusus anak-anak dengan mesin pembuat cotton candy. Feast Restaurant juga menjadi area breakfast dan bagian teras dengan view kolam adalah area favorit kami :)

What’s next to do during your stay in Sheraton Bandung? Go have Sunday brunch in Feast Restaurant. We could find various cuisines, kids corner, and even the cotton candy machine. Feast Restaurant also used as a breakfast area, and terrace side with the pool view was our favorite spot.

Bandung selalu menyenangkan untuk menjadi tempat yang dikunjungi berkali-kali, bahkan sebagai warga Bandung yang sudah menetap di Jakarta, Bandung selalu jadi charming place you always wanna go back.

Bandung is always be a fun place to visit. Even if you are residents who live in Jakarta, Bandung will be a charming place you always wanna go back.

Hard Rockin' Days at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya

Display kostum-kostum legenda musik dunia sudah jadi ciri khas chain Hard Rock, baik Hard Rock Hotel ataupun Hard Rock Cafe. Kali ini saya kembali disambut kostum Elvis serta gitar dengan tanda tangan musisi kenamaan di lobby.

Displaying the world music legends costumes has become the trademark of Hard Rock chain, both Hard Rock Hotel and Hard Rock Café. Elvis costumes with guitar include his signature was the first thing caught my eye at the lobby, as always.

King's Club Lounge

Kami menuju Kings Club Lounge dengan view pantai Pattaya sebelum masuk ke kamar dan kembali mendapat view pantai, kali ini jelas dengan teluk Thailand dan tulisan "Pattaya" di salah satu sisi bukit di pinggir pantai.

Before entering the room, we’re heading to Kings Club Lounge with the view of Pattaya beach. Again, there was a beach-view. Even Thailand-bay and the word “Pattaya” in the hillside of the seashore was visible.

Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya sangat menyenangkan. Kamar dengan desain simple, warna-warna cerah sebagai aksen dan kamar mandi dengan nuansa hitam, very much hard rockin' way. Tidak centil namun tidak suram, pop tapi tidak murah.

Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya was so fun. A simple yet colorful room with an all-black bathroom is truly very much hard rockin’ way. Not too playful but not that gloomy, pop but not cheap.

Cabana

Area favorit saya di Hard Rock Pattaya tentu saja area kolam renang. Ada cabana, pondok-pondok kayu dan bambu di area dengan pasir pantai, dan kolam renang dengan dasar pasir dan bebatuan sehingga terasa seperti di pantai dan laut, namun dengan air tawar.

My favorite spot in Hard Rock Pattaya was definitely the swimming pool area. Cabana, huts made by woods and bamboos in sandy area, beach-sand pool with rocks, all got me feel like I was on the beach or ocean, but the freshwater one.

Sisi sebelahnya ada kolam renang normal (tanpa pasir di dasarnya), dengan nuansa biru, hijau dan gagang gitar raksasa khas Hard Rock Hotel :)

On the other side, a normal swimming pool (with no sand at the bottom) colored in blue and green with a giant guitar handle, the trademark of Hard Rock Hotel :)

Sunset in Pattaya

Bagian pool di belakang ini langsung berhadapan dengan pantai Pattaya, ada akses khusus untuk tamu hotel sehingga kami tidak perlu memutar jika ingin ke pantai. Di malam hari area pantai Pattaya dipenuhi pasar dadakan yang menjual jajanan khas Thailand, baju dan bahkan jika ingin mencoba kuliner ekstrim ada juga di sini, hanya 5 menit berjalan kaki dari Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya.

The pool in the backside had a direct view of Pattaya beach, with a special access for the hotel guest who wanna go to the beach. At night, Pattaya beach such a sudden market selling kinds of Thailand local snack, clothes, or even the extreme culinary was available. You can join the crowd by only taking 5 minutes walk from Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya.

Jika harus me-listing hal-hal favorit saya di Hard Rock Pattaya maka itu adalah: kamar dengan view pantai (dan view lampu-lampu bangunan di sisi pantai di malam hari), Cabana dan kolam dengan pasir pantai, private breakfast di Kings Club Lounge (kami tidak perlu turun ke lantai bawah untuk sarapan), dinner at the Starz Diner (will tell you later about this) and many more!

If I have to list my favorite things in Hard Rock Pattaya, it would be the beach-view room (with the night view of the building lights alongside the beach), cabana, beach-sand pool, private breakfast at Kings Club Lounge (we didn’t need to go downstairs for breakfast), dinner at the Starz Diner (will tell you later about this) and many more!

Pattaya terkadang terasa seperti Bali, terutama di Kuta, namun versi lebih sepi. Kuta saat ini sangat padat. Menikmati Pattaya, Thailand street food dan Hard Rock Hotel adalah kombinasi sempurna liburan yang menyenangkan di Pattaya :)

Sometimes Pattaya feels like the tranquil version of Bali since Kuta nowadays is too crowded. Enjoy both Thailand street food and Hard Rock Hotel, is such a perfect combo for your pleasant holiday in Pattaya :)

Mood Spa at W Singapore

Artistik. Itu yang saya rasakan sejak masuk ke area lobby W Singapore di Sentosa Cove, Singapura. Berbagai karya seni, struktur bagaikan Professor X's helmet, hingga lift yang berwarna merah dengan detail bunga memenuhi dinding.

Artistic. That's what I felt since I stepped on the entrance of W Singapore at Sentosa Cove, Singapore. Various works of art, some are like the structure of Professor X's helmet, the red elevator with details of flowers all over the walls.

This is actually a "place" to make a phone call when your surrounding kind a bit noisy :D

W Hotel terkenal dengan desain yang unik, ikonik dan detail-detail kontemporer yang memenuhi semua sisi bangunan. Kamar dihiasi mood lighting dimana anda dapat "mewarnai" kamar dengan berbagai aura warna. Audio stereo yang memenuhi ruangan bagaikan lounge yang dengan live music, hingga detail kenop pintu dan tombol yang unik, semua bagaikan dibuat secara custom dan berbeda dengan apa yang anda temui di kebanyakan hotel.

W Hotel is famous for its unique design, iconic and contemporary details that just all over the building. The rooms are decorated with mood lighting where you can "dye" the room with various colors. Stereo audio fills the room like a lounge with live music, a detail door knob, unique key buttons, all the is custom and different from what you encounter in most hotels.

Saya menikmati fabulous room dengan detail yang cantik, mood lighting pink dan area kamar mandi yang sangat terlihat clean dengan detail pattern bunga di kaca. Being in this room is like a spa for your mood.

I enjoyed fabulous room with gorgeous details, pink mood lighting and the "clean look" bathroom area with floral pattern details on the mirror. Being in this room is like a spa for your mood.
