THE HEALING PINK BEACH

Remember my post about saving Pink Beach? Terakhir saya datang ke Pink Beach dua tahun lalu, saat itu kondisi koral di perairan pantai pink yang terkenal di Taman Nasional Komodo ini sudah menyedihkan, banyak pecahan koral-koral mati berwarna putih yang membaur dengan dasar laut yang berpasir putih.

Remember my post about saving Pink Beach? I last came to the Pink Beach two years ago, when the condition of corals in coastal waters of the famous pink in the Park has been a sadness, a lot of broken white corals died blending with white sandy seabed.

Tahun ini saya datang lagi ke Pink Beach. Meski cuaca cukup mendung, kami tetap memutuskan untuk snorkeling di area ini. Saya cukup senang melihat kondisi Pink Beach yang membaik, soft koral mulai banyak yang tumbuh, sementara perlahan hard coral juga mulai ada kembali (namun untuk hard coral tentunya akan memakan waktu yang sangat lama).

This year I came back to Pink Beach. Although the weather was quite cloudy, we still decided to snorkel in this area. I was glad to see Pink Beach's conditions are improving, many soft corals begin growing, while slowly hard coral also started to grow again (but for hard coral will certainly take a very long time).

We can still see the dead corals but it's healing slowly :)

Seiring munculnya koral kembali, penghuni laut di perairan Pink Beach juga semakin ramai, we can easily find Nemo (the clown fish), trigger fish, parrot fish dan berbagai anthias, it's just so relaxing to see those beautiful colors under the sea!

Meski membaik, bukan berarti perairan ini tidak rapuh, selalu ingat untuk menikmati laut dengan bijak: snorkeling dan berenang tanpa menginjak atau memegang karang, berenang dengan posisi horizontal di area dangkal untuk menghindari kaki menabrak karang, dan gunakan life vest jika tidak bisa berenang atau belum nyaman di laut. Hopefully the coral reefs here will get better and better :)

Although it is improved, does not mean that these waters are not fragile, always remember to enjoy the ocean wisely: snorkeling and swimming without touching or holding the reef, swimming in a horizontal position in the shallow area to avoid foot struck a rock, and use a life vest if you can not swim or have not been comfortable at the sea. Hopefully the coral reefs here will get better and better :)

Journey to Cetaphil Experience: Travel VS Beauty

Kulit menggelap bagi saya bukan masalah, bahkan saya menyebutnya "proud tan" dan kadang bercanda dengan tagline "pantang pulang sebelum coklat (kulitnya)," dan saya senang saat mulai banyak perempuan Indonesia yang tidak merasa kulit menggelap identik dengan buruk, mulai banyak yang mencintai warna kulit Indonesia yang mencoklat saat banyak bermain matahari. Namun pertimbangannya tentu satu: kesehatan kulit. Kulit mencoklat bukan berarti tidak sehat, bagi saya kulit yang menggelap tidak masalah, asalkan tetap sehat.

WHERE TO EAT IN OSAKA: TEMPOZAN MARKETPLACE

Dari luar tempat ini tampak seperti mall biasa yang berada di sisi area Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, namun Tempozan Marketplace membuat saya terkejut saat saya masuk lebih dalam di area food court. Jangan berhenti di lokasi kios-kios makanan dengan tampilan food court biasa, justru kita harus masuk ke area "gang" kecil yang lebih gelap dengan kios-kios makanan menarik di sisi-sisi jalanan kecil ini.

From the outside this place looks like a regular mall located in the area of Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, but Tempozan Marketplace shocked me when I go deeper in the food court area. Do not stop at the food stalls to see the usual food court, we just have to get into the area little alleys which is darker with interesting food stalls on either side of this small street.

Memasuki area khusus Tempozan Marketplace bagaikan masuk ke salah satu jalanan di Jepang dengan berbagai makanan yang membuat saya sulit berjalan lurus karena saya tidak dapat berhenti melihat ke kiri dan kanan yang dipenuhi display-display makanan yang sangat seru.

Entering the specific areas of Tempozan Marketplace entering specific is like entering to one of the streets in Japan with a variety of food that makes me difficult to walk straight because I cannot stop looking to the left and right filled with food display that was very exciting.

Selain bakpao dengan bentuk-bentuk yang sangat menggemaskan, ragam makanan di Tempozan Marketplace akan memuaskan keinginan kita untuk mencoba berbagai makanan khas Jepang. Jangan khawatir dengan persoalan bahasa karena setiap restoran menyediakan food sample, yaitu contoh bentuk makanan yang terbuat dari semacam lilin dan terlihat persis seperti masakan aslinya sehingga kita tidak akan salah memesan.

Besides dumplings with very adorable forms, wide range of food in Tempozan Marketplace will satisfy our desire to try a variety of Japanese food. Do not worry about the language issue because every restaurant provide food sample, that sample forms a kind of food made of wax and looks exactly like the original dishes so we will not go wrong ordering.

Sebagian besar tempat makan juga menyediakan menu dalam bahasa Inggris serta harga makanan selalu ditulis di informasi yang tersedia di depan masing-masing restoran, sangat memudahkan bagi turis seperti saya.

Most eating places also provide a menu in English as well as the price of food is always written on the information available at the front of each restaurant, very easy for tourists like me.

Usai makan kita dapat berkeliling shopping area ini dan menemukan toko-toko kecil yang menarik, mulai dari pernak-pernik yang menggemaskan, snack dan oleh-oleh dengan kemasan menarik, hingga ninja store!

After dinner we can go around shopping areas and find interesting little shops, ranging from the adorable trinkets, snacks and souvenirs with attractive packaging, to ninja store!

 

Satu tips jika ingin berkunjung ke Tempozan Marketplace, sediakan ruang kosong di perut anda karena makanan dan cemilan yang ada di sini sangat menggiurkan dan membuat kita ingin terus mencoba. Have fun!

One tips if you want to visit Tempozan Marketplace, provide an empty space in your stomach for food and snacks since all of them here are very tempting and makes us want to keep trying. Have fun!

POSTCARD FROM THE WHITE HAVEN: OHOIDERTAWUN

I know that beaches mostly means playing in white sands and dipping into water, but what about sandy area wider than a football field? The turquoise water is seen but far far far away because the white sands are just such tremendously wide area.. BREATH-TAKING..

If you see small dots, that's us!

Saya pernah membahas Ohoidertawun di postingan ini: That Paradise, Kei Island, namun Pantai Ohoidertawun layak diceritakan dalam satu halaman tersendiri. WHY? Well, where else you can find a beach, like this?

I've discussed Ohoidertawun in this post: That Paradise, Kei Island, but Ohoidertawun Beach is worth to be told in a separate page. WHY? Well, where else can you find a beach, like this?

WIDE WIDE WIDE WHITE SANDS

Putih adalah warna yang memenuhi pandangan kita saat datang ke pantai di Kepulauan Kei, Maluku ini. Pasir putih yang rata dan sangat halus bagaikan lantai putih yang luas. Beberapa kapal menghiasi bibir pantai, menandakan seberapa jauh air pasang yang membawa kapal ke "lapangan putih" ini.

White is the color that meets our view when it comes to the beach in the Kei Islands, Maluku. The white sand is flat and very smooth like a wide white floor. Some ships adorn the shoreline, indicate how far the tide that brought the ship to the "white pitch" is.

HOW FAR YOU CAN RUN?

I remember running, twice! (got to make a stop first because it's too far) in an attemp to reach the water. But again, it's so far!

Berlari menyusuri Pantai Ohoidertawun sangat menyenangkan, dan hal yang harus anda lakukan? Melepaskan alas kaki kita karena tekstur pasir yang sangat halus (dan sebagian masih basah) sangat menyenangkan untuk menikmati berlari dan berjalan-jalan menyusuri surga putih ini!
 

Running down Ohoidertawun Beach is very pleasant, and things you should do! Removing our footwear because of the texture of very fine sand (and some still wet) is very pleasant to enjoy a run and a walk down this white paradise!

WHEN THE WATER UP

Saat sore dan air mulai pasang, saya menikmati momen di area pinggir pantai dekat tebing-tebing batu. Sambil berjalan kembali ke bibir pantai, kami menikmati pemandangan yang berbeda, air mulai membuat warna pantai berubah, burung-burung terlihat menikmati area ini, and the glowing water!

During the afternoon and the water began to tide, I enjoy a moment in the coastal area near the rock cliffs. While walking back to the beach, we enjoy different scenery, the water started to make color changes to the beach, the birds seemed to enjoy this area, and the glowing water!

GOOD TIMES

Taking photo is a must for most of us, chit chat and laugh with friends will add even more beautiful memories here, in white haven..
