Jeonju Sori Festival adalah festival tahunan yang sudah berlangsung selama 15 tahun di Korea Selatan. Festival musik ini bahkan sudah memberikan ruang bagi musik dan berbagai ritme bunyi dari berbagai belahan dunia untuk memperkenalkan musik mereka di Sori Festival ini.

Jeonju Sori Festival is an annual festival which has been held for 15 years in South Korea. This music festival even provides a space for music and different sound rhythms from around the world to introduce their music in this Sori Festival.

Kami datang di saat sebelum musim gugur dimulai, beberapa pepohonan mulai menguning, namun kehijauan masih mendominasi pemandangan. Saat musim inilah cuaca nyaman untuk menikmati kegiatan di luar ruangan, sehingga Jeonju Sori Festival 2016 ini juga mengambil tempat outdoor, serta sebagian indoor untuk pertunjukkan tertentu.

BOHEMIAN VIBES PICNIC SEATS

Bohemian vibes all over, dengan pepohonan yang dihias dengan pernak-pernik berwarna-warni dari rajutan wool, tempat duduk jerami dan meja-meja kayu di antara pepohonan dan dekor yang sangat menyenangkan membuat saya menghabiskan waktu leyeh-leyeh yang menyenangkan di antara waktu menonton pertunjukkan.

Bohemian vibes were all over the place, with trees decorated with colorful trinkets of knitted wool, straw seats and wooden tables in between the trees and the scenery is very pleasant to make me spend relaxing fun time in between the shows

SINGING AUNTIES

Pertunjukkan indoor ini dinamakan Pansori, semacam sinden ala Korea dimana ibu-ibu Korea bernyanyi sambil bercerita tentang kisah Nolbo dan saudaranya Heungbo. Cerita panjang berdurasi dua jam ini menceritakan perjuangan menghadapi kemiskinan dan konflik antar saudara. Di sela-sela cerita, para “aunties” ini menyelipkan berbagai joke dalam bahasa Korea, sayangnya kami tidak mengerti karena joke spontan ini tidak ada dalam layar lcd terjemahan sinopsis cerita Pansori.

This indoor show is called Pansori, a kind of Korean-style 'sinden' (female Javanese singer) where Korean women sang as they told the story of Nolbo and his brother Heungbo. A two-hour long story told about the struggle to cope with poverty and conflict among brothers. On the sidelines of the story, the "aunties" had slipped various joke in Korean, unfortunately we did not understand because there is no translation for the spontaneous jokes in the lcd screen Pansori's story.

Honestly I think that two hours is too long, but seeing attractive singing aunties wearing beautiful hanbok is interesting

HAPPINESS AT LINE STORE MYEONG DONG, SEOUL

Siapa yang tidak kenal karakter Brown & Cony dari LINE? Bagi perempuan khususnya, Line Store selalu jadi salah satu spot yang mesti dikunjungi saat traveling ke Seoul, Korea.

Who does not know the character of Brown and Cony of LINE? For women in particular, Line Store is always one spot that must be visited when traveling to Seoul, Korea.

Karena kami menginap di area Myeongdong, Line Friends Store hanya berjarak kurang dari 10 menit berjalan kaki dari hotel tempat kami menginap. Saya dan teman-teman datang pagi-pagi untuk menghindari antrean berfoto dengan boneka Brown, yes, antre untuk foto dengan Brown! :), namun ternyata bahkan sebelum toko buka pun, sudah ada antrean meski sedikit.

Since we were staying in Myeongdong area, Line Friends Store is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel where we were staying. My friends and I came early to avoid the queue to take pictures with stuffed Brown, yes, lining up for a photo with Brown! :), But it turns out even before the store opened, there was already a short queue.

Kami datang sekitar pukul sepuluh pagi dan langsung antre untuk foto dengan Brown berukuran besar yang sangat menggemaskan! Sejujurnya saya bukan kolektor merchandise Line, jadi saya hanya window shopping saja melihat barang-barang menggemaskan dengan banyak tokoh Line yang terkenal (but ended up buying cute Line cookies).

We came around ten o'clock in the morning and immediately lined up for a photo with a huge sized Brown that is so adorable! To be honest I am not a collector of Line merchandise, so I'm just window shopping to see adorable stuff with many famous Line figures Line (but ended up buying cute Line cookies).

Line Friends Store di Myeongdong ini ada dua lantai, lantai dasar berisi bermacam asesoris, mulai dari smartphone case, boneka, gantungan kunci, dan lain-lain, dan lantai atas di mana kita dapat menemukan berbagai pakaian dengan karakter Line, plus "kamar" tokoh Line seperti Cony.

This Line Friends Store in Myeongdong has two floors, the ground floor contains a variety of accessories, ranging from smartphones case, dolls, key chains, and others, and the top floor where we can find a variety of clothing with Line's characters, plus the "room" of Line's figures like Cony.

Di Seoul ada 3 Line Friends Store, yaitu di Itaewon, Garosugil dan Myengdong. Perbedaan dengan Line Store biasa yang umumnya tersebar di shopping mall adalah di Line Friends Store juga terdapat cafe kecil dengan makanan, minuman dan cemilan berbentuk karakter dari Line yang sulit untuk diabaikan :)

In Seoul there are 3 Line Friends Store, which is in Itaewon, Garosugil and Myengdong. The differences with the usual Line Stores which are generally spread in a shopping mall is in Line Friends Store there is also a small cafe with food, drinks and snacks shaped in the characters of Line that are difficult to ignore :)

Yes, You Can Eat Flowers in Jeju!

Hari-hari di Jeju adalah hari-hari dimana saya memperhatikan betapa mulusnya kulit warga Jeju, baik perempuan atau laki-laki, mereka selalu memiliki kulit yang flawless.

I spent my days in Jeju noticing how the skin of people in Jeju, either men or women, could be so flawless.

Sebagai pulau utama di Provinsi Jeju, Pulau Jeju terkenal dengan landscape indah dan gunung berapi Hallasan sebagai highlightnya. Warga Jeju benar-benar tinggal selaras dengan alam, mereka mengambil elemen-elemen alam dan diproses se-natural mungkin untuk konsumsi sehari-hari.

Since it’s the main island in Jeju Province, Jeju Island is famous for its amazing landscape and the Hallasan volcano as the highlight. Jeju people really keep the harmony with nature in their living. They collect the raw material and do the process naturally for their daily needs.

Di Jeju Story, kita bahkan dapat menikmati makan bunga! Dari luar, bangunan Jeju Story yang terletak di Gujwa-eup ini terlihat biasa, namun di dalamnya terdapat toko berbagai produk wewangian dan perawatan tubuh dari bahan-bahan alami.

Surprisingly, we even could eat flowers in Jeju Story! From the outside, Jeju Story, which is located in Gujwa-eup, is just like an ordinary building, but who knows it has a shop selling fragrances and body care products from natural ingredients.

 

Yang menarik, di sisi belakang toko terdapat deretan kursi dan meja panjang untuk makan siang. Saat kami datang makanan telah tertata cantik dan satu hal yang paling menarik perhatian adalah betapa menu makan siang di Jeju Story ini sangat berwarna-warni, termasuk dari bunga yang membaur dengan salad di piring putih.

It’s kinda interesting when I found out that the back side has a row of seat and long table for lunch. When we arrived there, all set prettily and one thing that caught my interest was how Jeju Story could have a colorful menu like that, even the flower was mixed with the salad in the white plate.

Makanan dengan warna ungu dan pink yang mendominasi ini tentunya sangat sehat (seperti layaknya makanan lain di Jeju), tidak ada bumbu penyedap buatan dan semua material organik. Tentu saja memakan kelopak dan mahkota bunga pacar air (Impatiens Balsamina) memberikan sensasi makan yang berbeda. Ternyata jenis bunga ini memiliki banyak khasiat mulai dari mengurangi hipertensi, mengobati radang kulit hingga melawan kanker.

The food, which mostly in purple and pink, definitely must be very healthy (like any other food in Jeju), no MSG, and all organic material. Eating the petals or corolla of the garden balsam (Impatiens Balsamina) surely gave a new sensation. It turned out that this flower has lots of benefits from reducing hypertension, treated dermatitis, to fight cancer.

Make your own fragrance

Another thing to do in Jeju Story adalah membuat sendiri parfum dan pewangi. Caranya sangat simple, kita hanya perlu memasukkan bunga kering ke dalam tube kecil dan menambahkan bibit parfum dan mixed liquid sesuai selera kita. Surely it's a bloom-perfumy day in Jeju Story :)

Another thing to do in Jeju Story is making your perfume and fragrance. It’s so simple. We just need to put the dried flower into a small tube then add the perfume seed and mixed liquid as our taste. Surely it’s a bloom-perfumy day in Jeju Story :)
