Terletak di Teluk Tomini, Provinsi Gorontalo (Sulawesi), satu pulau kecil berbentuk hati menurut legenda menjadi lokasi pertemuan rahasia pangeran dari Gorontalo dengan putri saudagar dari Belanda. Saat itu adalah masa peperangan, dan kedua insan dari pihak yang bertikai menyatu dan melupakan sejenak posisi mereka yang berseberangan. Saat malam hari bertabur bintang, mereka menikmati secret escape, to embrace the love.

Located in the Gulf of Tomini, Gorontalo (Sulawesi), a small heart-shaped island legend has become the location of a secret meeting with the prince of Gorontalo with the daughter of a Dutch merchant. It was during the war, and these couple of the warring parties together and forget for a moment their opposing positions. During a star-studded evening, they enjoyed a secret escape, to embrace the love.

Bentuk dan legenda menunjukkan dengan jelas mengapa pulau ini disebut Pulo (pulau) Cinta, dan kini berdiri resort dengan bentuk yang serupa: hati.

Forms and legend shows clearly why the island is called Pulo (island) Cinta (Love), and now stands a resort with a similar form: heart.

Pemandangan di Pulo Cinta benar-benar mempesona, baik saat kita berjalan kaki di deck jembatan yang memanjang, saat berbaring menikmati ketenangan, atau dari atas melalui drone. The view is just spectacular! Dikelilingi lautan dangkal berpasir putih, warna hijau-toska turquoise dan biru berpadu indah membuat pemandangan yang mengundang siapapun untuk datang dan menikmati keindahan Pulo Cinta.

The scenery in Pulo Cinta really is fascinating, both when we walk on the bridge deck aft, while lying down enjoying the tranquility, or from above through drone. The view is just spectacular! Surrounded by a sea of white sandy shallows, green-turquoise and blue toska blends beautifully made scenery that invites anyone to come and enjoy the beauty of Pulo Cinta.

Resort yang baru mulai beroperasi di penghujung tahun 2015 ini memiliki 12 unit cottage, sebagian besar one bedroom villa, plus dua unit two bedrooms villa dan 1 unit 3 bedrooms villa sehingga semua tamu memiliki privacynya masing-masing.

Resort which begins operations in late 2015, has 12 cottage units, mostly one-bedroom villa, plus two units of two bedrooms villa and 1 unit of 3 bedrooms villa so all guests have their privacy respectively.

My favorite spot, selain di teras kamar dengan ocean view, yaitu ayunan yang mengarah ke laut, saat air surut kita dapat menikmati ayunan ini. Dari setiap kamar juga kami dapat turun langsung menikmati beningnya laut Teluk Tomini.

My favorite spot, in addition to the room terrace with ocean view, which swings that lead to the sea, at low tide we can enjoy this swing. From each room also we can go straight to enjoy the clear sea of Tomini Bay.

Ada begitu banyak spot yang indah di Pulo Cinta, ada pula begitu banyak cara menikmati area ini, mulai dari menikmati suara laut dari teras, sunbathing di deck (oh yes, why not?), snorkeling or float around the resort, and of course, spending time here with those you love. Pulo Cinta will make you fall in love, instantly!

GETTING THERE

From Jakarta to Gorontalo (Terdapat banyak penerbangan menuju Gorontalo dengan short transit time di Makassar, harga tiket Jakarta - Gorontalo saat normal season sekitar Rp. 1,6 juta - Rp. 2,5 juta PP), untuk harga tiket dari kota lain dapat dicek di website berbagai maskapai yang ada.

From Gorontalo: 2 jam naik mobil dari Bandara Jalaluddin di Gorontalo, dilanjutkan dengan naik boat (15 menit) dari Pantai Bolihutuo menuju Pulo Cinta.

From Jakarta to Gorontalo (There are many flights to Gorontalo with the short transit time in Makassar, ticket prices Jakarta - Gorontalo when normal season around Rp. 1.6 million - Rp. 2.5 million round trip), for a ticket from another city can be checked on the website there are a variety of airlines.

YES, THERE'S A DOG CAFE IN KL!

Saya tidak pernah menyangka sebelumnya bahwa di Kuala Lumpur saya dapat bermain-main dengan furry friends di cafe yang tidak jauh dari pusat kota. 

I never thought before that in Kuala Lumpur I can play around with furry friends at a cafe not far from the city center.

Berbekal iseng googling, kami menemukan Cubs & Cups, pet friendly cafe di area Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. Namun rupanya kami datang lebih awal sebelum waktu buka sehingga harus menunggu sekitar 10 menit sebelum bisa masuk. 

Armed with accidental googling, we find Cubs & Cups, pet friendly cafe in the area of Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. But apparently we arrived early before the opening time so had to wait about 10 minutes before we can enter.

"Pets welcome, people tolerated" :))

Cubs & Cups tampak seperti cafe pada umumnya, namun pagar putih di depan bangunan cafe di ruko ini menjadi ciri pet cafe, sekaligus menjaga peliharaan pengunjung dan pemilik cafe agar tidak berkeliaran di luar area cafe.

Cubs & Cups looks like a cafe in general, but the white picket fence in front of the cafe characterizes the pet shop cafe, while keeping domestic visitors and cafe owners to avoid venturing outside the cafe area.

Mocha

Cola, Nacho and Mocha

Sejak datang saya sudah bersemangat melihat malamute coklat dari kejauhan. Ada tiga anjing "penghuni permanen" Cubs & Cups, yaitu Cola, husky berwarna hitam-putih, dengan mata biru muda yang sangat fierce. Favorit saya tentunya Mocha, malamute dengan tone warna coklat (dan hidung coklat yang sangat menggemaskan!) yang sangat playful dan friendly. Melengkapi dua husky dan malamute ini, ada satu anjing kecil jenis pom berwarna putih, Nacho. Meski paling kecil, Nacho terlihat paling "bossy" di antara Mocha dan Cola yang lebih "kalem" :)

Since arriving I was already excited to come see brown Malamutes from a distance. There are three "permanent residents" dogs Cubs & Cups, they are Cola, black-and-white husky, with light blue eyes that were very fierce. My favorite one is of course Mocha, Malamutes with brown color tone (and a brown nose which is very cute!) that is very playful and friendly. Completing two huskies and Malamutes, there is one small dog white pom types, Nacho. Although it is the smallest, Nacho is seen most "bossy" compared to Mocha and Cola who were more "calm" :)

Di dog cafe ini pengunjung dapat membawa binatang mereka, dengan beberapa aturan dasar. Bagi pecinta anjing yang tidak memelihara binatang ini, Cups & Cups dapat menjadi stopover untuk memenuhi kerinduan berinteraksi dengan furry friends yang menggemaskan ini.

In this dog cafe visitors can bring their pets, with a few basic rules. For dog lovers who do not have these animals, Cups & Cups can be a stopover to meet the desire to interact with this adorable furry friends.

Karena merupakan friendly dog cafe, tentunya Cubs & Cups menyediakan berbagai menu untuk peliharaan pengunjung, namun menu untuk kita pun cukup lezat (dan bersih, no worries).

Because it is a dog friendly cafe, of course, Cubs & Cups provide a variety of pet menu for the visitors' pets, but the menu for us was quite tasty (and clean, no worries).

Bermain-main dengan Cola, Mocha dan Nacho jadi mood booster yang menyenangkan di Kuala Lumpur, I know next time I visit this city, I'll surely visit them again!

SUPER JOURNEY: Push Your Limit at KILO TIGA - ROCK CLIMBING

Punggung saya basah oleh keringat. Kaki mulai bergetar tanpa saya sadari, tremor. Tangan kanan dan kiri saya berpegangan erat-erat ke celah-celah di antara batu dinding tebing.

My back was wet with sweat. My legs began to tremble without knowing it, tremor. My right and left hand held on tightly to the cracks in the rock climbing wall.

Trial day 1

Saya memaksa kaki untuk mendorong badan saya naik lagi, tangan mencengkram batu dan saya naik lagi, one more step.

I force the foot to push my body up again, my hands gripping the stone and rose again, one more step.

"Please, coffee break," canda saya saat kaki sampai di area kecil yang dapat menopang kedua kaki saya.

"Please, coffee break," I joked when my legs arrived in a small area that can sustain my legs.

"This is definitely NOT EASY at all," saya menggumam sambil bercucuran keringat, kemudian melihat ke bawah. Saya berada di ketinggian - bahkan belum sampai sepuluh meter. "How did they did it (looking) so easy?" saya menggumam lagi.

"This is definitely NOT EASY at all," I murmured sweating, then looked down. I'm in altitude - not even to ten meters. "How did they did it (looking) so easy?" I mumbled again.

Lebih dari sepuluh menit kemudian saya gunakan untuk berusaha naik di saat "rute" memanjat seakan tidak memberikan celah. Saya terus menerus mencoba berpijak di salah satu celah atau apapun yang tampak seperti spot yang dapat menjadi tumpuan. Karena tidak dapat naik, dan energi saya sudah sangat terkuras akhirnya saya turun, perlahan dengan tali pengaman saya "merayap" turun dengan posisi seakan-akan berjalan mundur di tebing.

More than ten minutes later I used to try climbing while the "route" seemed to not give me a break. I am constantly trying to stand in one of the openings or anything that looks like a spot that could become the foundation. Because I cannot go up, and my energy is already severely depleted and my energy eventually dropped, slowly with a safety strap I "creeped" down to the position as if walking backwards on the cliffs. 

Tried again on day 2

Tebing Kilo Tiga yang berada sekitar lima kilometer dari pusat Kecamatan Amurang di Minahasa Selatan, Sulawesi Utara ini merupakan tantangan pertama bagi kami, peserta Super Journey dari Kompetisi Super Adventure. 

Tebing Kilo Tiga (in English: Three Kilo cliff) located about five kilometers from the center of the District Amurang in South Minahasa, North Sulawesi is the first challenge for us, participants of  Super Adventure Journey.

 

Trekking to Kilo Tiga

Mencapai area Tebing Kilo Tiga tidak sulit, hanya perlu berjalan kaki sekitar 30 menit dari rute terakhir yang dapat diakses mobil. Tebing ini dikelilingi rimbunnya pepohonan namun terlihat sangat menonjol.

Getting to Kilo Three Cliffs area is not difficult, just need to walk about 30 minutes from the last stop that can be accessed by car. This cliff surrounded by leafy trees but looks very prominent.

 

Ade in action

Struktur Tebing Kilo Tiga sangat unik, tebing batu ini seakan dipahat dengan "rapih," dinding tebing berundak-undak namun dalam posisi terbalik, membuat Tebing Kilo Tiga sebagai salah satu jalur panjat tebing yang sangat menantang. Ada delapan jalur pemanjatan utama dengan nama yang berbeda-beda, mulai dari Jalur Ofu, hingga jalur tersulit yaitu Jalur Ratapan. Sebagian jalur sudah diberi pengait untuk memasang tali pengaman saat memanjat.

Tebing Kilo Tiga's structure is unique, it seemed hewn rock with "neat," climbing wall staircase steps but in an inverted position, makes Tebing Kilo Tiga as one lane of a very challenging rock climbing. There are eight main climbing routes with different names, ranging from Ofu Line, up to the hardest line is Line of Lamentations. Most of the lines are given a hook to attach a safety harness when climbing.

Saat sebagian peserta masih berkutat di jalur "mudah," saya melihat Octries Katameri, atlit panjat tebing yang menjadi mentor kami di tantangan ini akan membuka jalur, yaitu mulai naik dan memasang tali pengaman di area berundak yang terbalik. This is the most stunning route, amazingly "how did he do that" dan "It's so beautiful to look up and see someone climbing up"

While most participants are still struggling in the "easy" path, I saw Octries Katameri, rock climbing athletes who became our mentor in this challenge will open up the path, which started up and install a safety rope in the staircase area are reversed. Tebing Kilo Tiga setinggi 90 meter ini memang menantang. Bagi saya, ini pengalaman pertama panjat tebing. Meski hanya bisa naik tidak sampai 10 meter saja, it's definitely a new exciting experience, also it leaves me quite curious about wall climbing.

Tebing Kilo Tiga with 90 meters height is indeed challenging. For me, this is the first experience of rock climbing. Although iI can only go up less than 10 meters, it's definitely a new exciting experience, Also it leaves me quite curious about wall climbing.

We also tried Ascending Descending

I think I'm gonna practice in Jakarta, so next time I came, at least it's more than 10 meters ;)
