WHERE TO STAY IN KOFU: YANAGIYA RYOKAN

Saya selalu senang menginap di ryokan, penginapan dengan kamar khas Jepang beralaskan tatami, dan tempat tidur ala Nobita dan Doraemon (yes, I grew up reading many Japanese comic books).

I am always happy to stay at a ryokan, a typical Japanese tatami room, and the bed ala Nobita and Doraemon (yes, I grew up reading many Japanese comic books).

  

Di Kofu, ada satu penginapan yang saya sangat suka. Ryokan dengan pemandangan taman ala Jepang yang dapat dinikmati dari kamar, lantai tatami dan ruangan yang luas, Yanagiya Ryokan.

In Kofu, there is one accomodation that I really like. Ryokan with a view of the Japanese garden that can be enjoyed from the room, tatami flooring and a spacious room, Yanagiya Ryokan.

Penginapan ini berjarak hanya sekitar 10 menit perjalanan naik bus dari Kofu Train Station, namun Yanagiya Ryokan tetap memberikan ruang yang luas di setiap kamarnya. Area duduk dan bersantai di tengah yang berganti menjadi area tidur di malam hari, serta kursi santai di sisi jendela, dan teras untuk menikmati taman, surely a nice place to stay.

The ryokan located only about a 10 minute bus ride from Kofu Train Station, but Yanagiya Ryokan still provides a wide space in each room. Area to sit and relax in the middle that turned into a sleeping area at night, as well as lounge chairs by the window, and a terrace to enjoy the garden, surely a nice place to stay.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2016!

Another year, another Christmas! 

Christmas 2014

Natal selalu menjadi hari yang sangat spesial bagi keluarga kami. Jika biasanya saya bepergian, maka di hari Natal saya mesti "pulang" dan merayakan Natal bersama keluarga.

Christmas has always been a very special day for our family. If I normally travel, then at Christmas I should "go home" and spend Christmas with family.

Setiap tahunnya kami selalu memilih tema outfit, just for fun, dan tahun ini tema "Ugly Christmas Sweater" menjadi pilihan kami. Lucunya tema ini sudah ditentukan sejak tahun lalu, setelah tukar kado kami biasanya ngobrol-ngobrol dan ide tema keluar dengan sendirinya.

Every year, we always choose a themed outfit, just for fun, and this year the theme of "Ugly Christmas Sweater" became our choice. Funnily enough, this theme has been determined since last year, after we usually exchange gifts chatting and theme ideas come out by itself.

"Perburuan" ugly Christmas sweater ini pun menyenangkan, setiap menemukan sweater yang dianggap cocok maka kami akan mendiskusikannya di group whatsapp keluarga, and finally we choose these fun ugly Christmas sweater. Tidak hanya itu, untuk membuat lebih menarik, kakak saya, Mandy, membuat sendiri kaos kaki yang penuh ornamen pita dan dekor unik :)

"Hunting" ugly Christmas sweater is also a delight, each find a sweater that is suitable then we will discuss it in the group whatsapp family, and finally we choose these fun ugly Christmas sweaters. Not only that, to make it more interesting, my sister, Mandy, create our own stocking full of ribbon ornaments and unique decoration :)

No need to say, Raja Ampat is always beautiful. Desa Arborek berjarak sekitar 1,5 jam perjalanan dengan speedboat dari Waisai, ibukota Kabupaten Raja Ampat. Selain itu, hanya perlu sekitar satu jam saja untuk mencapai salah satu spot menarik dengan pemandangan pulau-pulau karang, yaitu Pianemo. Sementara, jika ingin mengunjungi Wayag, siapkan waktu 4 jam speedboat trip dari Arborek untuk mencapai Wayag. 

No need to say, Raja Ampat is always beautiful. Arborek village is about 1.5 hours away by speedboat from Waisai, the capital of Raja Ampat. In addition, only need about an hour to reach one of the interesting spots with views of the coral islands, namely Pianemo. Meanwhile, if you want to visit Wayag, set a time of 4 hour speedboat trip from Arborek to get to Wayag.

BREATH-TAKING VIEW ALL AROUND

Satu hal yang pasti sangat membuat kita tercengang saat tiba di Arborek di siang hari adalah warna laut yang begitu menggoda. Biru, turquoise dan kehijauan berpadu indah, serta warna pasir putih dan kehijauan di daratan, such a lovely view to enjoy!

One thing is for sure very make us stunned when arriving at Arborek in the afternoon is the color of the sea is so tempting. Blue, turquoise and beautiful greenery blends, as well as the color of the white sand and greenery on the mainland, such a lovely view to enjoy!

There are only about 200 local people living in Arborek Village, so don’t expect party and bars on this island, but hey, who needs bar on this kind of place? :) Di manapun anda menginap di Desa Arborek, hanya perlu berjalan kaki untuk menuju pantai, dermaga, atau warung-warung di kala ingin mencari snacks and drinks

There are only about 200 local people living in Arborek Village, so do not expect the party and bars on this island, but hey, who needs a bar on this kind of place? :) Wherever you stay in the village Arborek, only need to walk to get to the beach, dock, or stalls at the time wanted to look for snacks and drinks

What’s better than greeted by beautiful sunset when you get back from islands hopping? Saat kapal kami merapat ke penginapan yang berada di sisi pantai, sunset indah kekuningan ini mengajak kami untuk kembali menikmati segarnya air laut sambil memandang senja di Raja Ampat
