Sunny Day at Ratu Boko

Posisi yang berdekatan dengan kompleks Candi Prambanan dan bentuk bangunan membuat banyak yang mengira Kompleks Ratu Boko juga merupakan area candi dan tempat suci. Namun, Ratu Boko yang berada di Boko Harjo, Sleman, Yogyakarta ini bukan merupakan candi namun merupakan istana dari Prabu Boko yang disebut-sebut dalam kisah Loro Jonggrang.

Ratu Boko complex mostly assumed as a temple area and shrines since it is close to Prambanan complex with the similar shape of building. Located in Boko Harjo, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Ratu Boko is not a temple but a palace of Prabu Boko which is mentioned in the Roro Jonggrang story.

Terletak di perbukitan, Ratu Boko merupakan lokasi yang tepat untuk menikmati pemandangan di area Boko Harjo ini. Kita juga dapat melihat Candi Prambanan dari kompleks Ratu Boko.

Located in hills, Ratu Boko has the right spot to enjoy view around the area of Boko Harjo. Even the Prambanan Temple is visible from Ratu Boko complex.

The gate

Terdapat sejumlah area di Kompleks Ratu Boko, mulai dari gapura atau gerbang utama hingga keputren atau tempat pemandian raja. Namun daya tarik utama kompleks Ratu Boko adalah pintu gerbang sekaligus tangga masuk dimana terdapat dua gerbang dengan perbedaan jumlah "frame pintu" yaitu tiga dan lima. Masuk ke dalam gerbang kita akan berada di area luas berhadapan dengan bukit. 

There are several areas in Ratu Boko complex, starting from the main gate to “keputren” or king’s baths. But the most attractive point is the main gate once the entrance stairs where we can find two gates with different number of “door frame” which are three and five. Entering the gate, and all we can see is the landscape of the hills.

Kami datang di musim kering saat pepohonan menguning dan matahari terasa sangat terik namun membuat langit sangat membiru. Di areal kiri dari gerbang utama kita dapat naik ke viewing point untuk menikmati pemandangan indah di area ini. Area viewing point ini lebih rindang dengan banyaknya pepohonan, a nice way to spend sunny day here.

We came in the dry season when the trees dried out and the sun was very hot but even it turned out to be a blue sky. In the left side of the gate, we could go up to enjoy the beautiful view. A bunch of trees around got this viewing point area more shady, such a nice way to spend sunny day here.

Nature Dining at Dusun Bambu

Area di Situ Lembang, Cisarua, Bandung ini adalah tempat yang tidak bisa hanya dikunjungi sekali saja. Mengapa? karena Dusun Bambu menawarkan berbagai pengalaman suasana makan yang berbeda, mulai dari restoran Burangrang dengan pemandangan Gunung Burangrang dan kehijauan, makan di saung di sisi danau dengan naik sampan kayu terlebih dahulu, hingga makan di "sarang burung" di tengah-tengah pepohonan.

Once is never enough when we talked about visiting Situ Lembang area, Cisarua, Bandung. Why? Because Dusun Bambu provides you different experiences of dining, from seeing a green view of Burangrang Mountain in the Burangrang restaurant, eating in the gazebo at the lake side by getting on a wooden-boat, or even having your meal in the “bird’s nest” amidst the trees.

Pada akhir pekan Dusun Bambu benar-benar dipadati warga Bandung dan sekitarnya yang ingin menikmati suasana alam yang menyenangkan. Area Dusun Bambu mencakup tidak hanya beberapa tempat makan, namun juga lokasi premium camping, villa dan pasar.

On weekends, Dusun Bambu is really crowded with local people and surroundings who want to enjoy the pleasure of natural atmosphere since it’s not only about food stalls, but also premium camping site, villa, and traditional market.

Sayangnya saat datang, kami tidak memiliki waktu seharian untuk berkeliling Dusun Bambu. Namun, bersantai di Restoran Burangrang dengan pemandangan kehijauan membuat saya ingin terus bersantai di area ini. 

Even though we didn’t have all day to walk around Dusun Bambu, the green view of Burangrang restaurant got me so relax that it was so hard to leave this place.

Satu hal juga yang harus dilakukan di Dusun Bambu adalah menikmati berjalan kaki melewati bentuk-bentuk bangunan kecil yang menyerupai sarang burung. Area Lutung Kasarung ini adalah ruang-ruang makan yang kecil namun terletak di antara pepohonan dengan bentuk yang unik.

One thing you have to do in Dusun Bambu is feeling the excitement of walking through the small buildings in bird’s nest-shaped. This Lutung Kasarung area consists of small dining rooms yet located among the trees with a unique shape.

Nature's Waterpark: Balbulol, Misool

Ada kalanya saat kita melihat landscape, struktur pulau atau benda di alam kita akan membayangkan proses terjadinya bentuk-bentuk yang kini ada. Bagi saya Misool adalah area dimana sulit untuk membayangkan proses terjadinya pulau-pulau di gugusan wilayah selatan Raja Ampat, Papua Barat tersebut.

Memang, sebagian besar pulau adalah pulau karang seperti di Wayag, namun Misool punya pemandangan yang benar-benar unik dan "Wah," seperti bentuk-bentuk yang cukup acak yang dapat kita temui di Yapap.

Those cone rocks are huge!

Batuan besar seperti kerucut (jika tidak bisa dikatakan pulau) dengan ukuran besar yang muncul di atas permukaan laut ada di beberapa area di Misool, Balbulol dan juga Dafalen. Batuan ini seperti cone ice cream yang dibalik dan muncul di atas permukaan laut, dengan bagian yang bersentuhan dengan air laut lebih terkikis.

Clear water everywhere

Balbulol memiliki bentuk batuan karang kerucut berukuran sangat besar, tinggi batuan ini mencapai puluhan meter. Ada satu "pulau" kerucut besar di tengah, dengan bentuk kerucut lain yang lebih mengkotak di bagian sisi. Balbulol benar-benar menyajikan pemandangan yang megah, seakan-akan batu-batu kerucut tersebut diletakkan dengan sengaja.

Yang paling menyenangkan lagi dari Balbulol adalah betapa dangkalnya area di sekitar batu-batu kerucut ini, dengan pasir putih di dasarnya membuat Balbulol bagaikan area waterpark alami dengan set yang luar biasa. Saat matahari bersinar cerah dan membuat semua koral terlihat jelas dan membuat pasir putih mewarnai laut menjadi turquoise, this is paradise!

Kami juga beruntung dapat melihat bentuk area Balbulol dari atas berkat drone yang dibawa Ferry. Ada "love pool" di bagian ujung, yaitu area yang sedikit lebih dalam di area dangkal Balbulol dengan bentuk hati.

Balbulol hanya salah satu dari area di Misool yang akan membuat anda terdiam melihat pemandangan yang ada dan dibuat kagum berkali-kali. As I told you before, Misool is a piece of heaven on earth. I wish I could visit the heaven over and over again. Let's say Amen to that!

Another FUN photos with the Jellyfish: Lenmakana Lake, Misool

I think I’ll never get enough of the stingless jellyfish, seeing how cute they are and be able to swim around them without fear of the sting is just tremendously fun!

So this is my second visit to Misool, West Papua, and the stingless jellyfish lake in Lenmakana is my favourite. Climbing the rocks to reach the lake is nothing compare to the fun you can get here. Imagine swimming around this jellies cutey!

During my last visit to Misool (you can see here), I told myself, it would be great if I get some photos with these jellyfish wearing a dress, well at least a mini dress. So, I brought a mini dress and it’s not hard at all, just have to put it on my dry bag, wear it when I arrived at the lake and voila let’s have fun and take some photos!

Apparently I was too tired that day and free dive without fin a couple times drained my energy so when Ferry told me to go below near those jellyfishes, I was too tired to do that and just taking some photos near the surface, but this lake is just fascinating so we got some fun photos.

I edit the photos, turning the color of the lake into black and here it is, hopefully you would like the photos :)
